Virtuoso pianist and conductor Stefano Miceli is the recipient
of a Honor Medal by the President of Repubblic of Italy On. Giorgio Napolitano.
Mr. Miceli has quickly established a reputation as one of the
leading talent of his generation, travelling worldwide as brillant pianist and conductor.
Mr. Miceli 's laudable work playing and conducting allowed him to be appreciated in concerts with most important orchestras such as Dallas Chamber Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of La Scala Theatre of Milan, La Fenice Orchestra of Venice , Salzburg Chamber Soloists, United European Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of London, Orchestra of Cluje, Orchestra Sinfonica Italiana, "Pomeriggi Musicali" Milan Symphony, Marche Philharmonic, Scarlatti Orchestra of Naples, Orchestra of Pordenone Theatre, Moldova Philharmonic, and many others.
Stefano is regular guest as pianist and conductor at Ravello Festival, La Fenice Theatre, Palermo Theatre, Scarlatti Hall in Naples, Milan Theatre, Roma Theatre, "Donizetti" Theatre, Ancona Theatre, Jesi "Pergolesi" Theatre, Genoa, Padoa, Le Petit Theatre in New Orleans, "B.Rohme" Theatre in Washington DC , Trinity College, Great Hall of NGV, BMW Theatre,Federation Hall in Melbourne, Cervo International Festival, Tivoli Festival, Las Vegas, Okahoma

Stefano Miceli is Music Director of Orchestra Sinfonica Italiana, Artistic Consultant at Melbourne Italian Festival - Australia, Artistic Director of Bergamo Classica Festival and Artistic Director of
International Competition "MIF Prize" Italy and Australia. Also he usually is a member of the Jury at national and international competitions in Italy and Australia. He also takes piano many pianomasterclasses on Liszt' s Piano repertoire.
In 2006 Stefano was chosen by Gianandrea Gavazzeni' s Family to conduct the "Cameristi of La Fenice" Orchestra in their performance of Mozart's Requiem Mass. The Concert was held on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of maestro Gavazzeni's death and was held in the Church where the Maestro was baptized; the most important italian tv and musical critics expressed
compliments and appreciations for his emotional conducting.
In 2005 -2008 he had a strong relationship as guest soloist and conductor with the "Cameristi della Fenice" Orchestra of Venice Theatre, having performed with them in many concerts in Italy and abroad.
Stefano gives importance to contemporary music, playing piano and symphonic masterpieces by most rappresentative italian composers, such as Bussotti, Berio, Bianchini, Pagotto, Pierami,( some compositions dedicated to him ).
His passion for chamber music has enabled him to work with famous artists such as Salzburg Chamber Soloists, Boston Ariel Quartet, Milan Ensemble, Madleyn Rene, OSI Soloists, Donato Renzetti, and many others.
Stefano studied at the famous Neapolitan Piano School at "San Pietro a Majella" Conservatory of Music, where he attended the Honor Piano Degree cum laude under the direction of Vincenzo Vitale's winning school. Then he studied composition at the same conservatory wich led him to study Conducting and Opera Conducting with Donato Renzetti of whom he was the assistant in different symphonic and operatic productions up to 2006.
Following his academic training he expanded his musical knowledge at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole in Florence and at the Catholic University in Washington Dc where he received two Honorary Diplomas.
Stefano's recording debut includes a piano anthology by Cimarosa, Cherubini, Mozart, Liszt, Albeniz, Debussy and H. Villa Lobos.
His future engadgements as conductor and pianist see him once again Melbourne, Sydney, tel Aviv, Brusselles, Bratislava, Las Vegas, New Messico, New York and Paris.
Stefano Miceli is Piano Professor at School of Music of Music "G. Verdi" at Prato - Tuscany and gives many Piano Masterclasses in Italy and Australia, principally on Liszt's piano repertoire.
He currently resides in Bergamo with his wife, where he has been proclaimed Testimonial and Honour Artist of " Donizetti Theatre Gran Galà" as well as honor artist of Brindisi , where he was born.
