Artist Reviews for Alexander Hintchev
“Il Giornale di Sicilia” – Palermo
“An overwhelming crowd greeted the great Bulgarian pianist Alexander
Hintchev, whom the critics of “Espresso Sera” have so aptly called:
“a giant of the keyboard…!” Indeed, Hintchev performed Beethoven,
Schumann, Chopin, Liszt and Prokofiev with the interpretive
versatility witch only a great artist can dare to allow himself,
confirming once again the verdict of international critics, who call
Hintchev “the new Rubinstein.”
“Sovietscaja Musica” – Moscow
“The public has met an exceptional artist, with an extremely rich
interior life and creative individuality.”
“Music Life” – Budapest

extraordinary vitality and poetry.”

musical logic, colourful piano artistry, extraordinarily incisive.”
“Bulgarian Musik”– Sofia
“Pianist Alexander Hintchev, an artist who displays extraordinary
expressive intensity and absolute technical mastery. His
“electrifying” performance, poetry and feeling, sent orchestra and
audience into ecstasy.”
“Offenbach-Post” – Germany
“The piano as “lover’s filter”. Pianist Alexander Hintchev’s debut
in Germany has shown us a fresh, ”total” way of making music, by one
who has never become a mere “technician,” one whose style is incisive
and whose great musical personality focuses with precision on “all or
nothing.”
“A masterful performance of Chopin’s Sonata op. 35. Luminous intensity.”
“Paese Sera” – Roma
“Alexander Hintchev’s performance was a smashing success…the applause
almost brought the house down…!”
“Nuova Sardegna” – Alghero
“Concert by the “new Rubinstein”. An artist we would like to hear
more and more often…the Rubinstein of tomorrow…Transcendental
technique, a genuine artist.”
“Die Presse” – Vienna
“Mussorgsky, played so brilliantly by Alexander Hintchev, could not
have found a more moving interpreter.”

“Il Quotidiano” – Rome
“Hintchev was splendid, a first-class performance: essential but
emotionally alive, measured, mature. The Bulgarian pianist’s touch is
full and light at the same time, perfectly expressive, especially in
adagio lyricisms. A lucid musical intellect, capable of
understanding, containing and interiorizing even the romantic
emphasis of Grieg, which can so easily be made banal. Hintchev is one
of those pianists one would like listen to more and more often.”

“A standing ovation rewarded the brilliant performance of the great
artist, Alexander Hintchev.”
