Maestro Jacopo Doro is principal guest conductor of “Ensemble Archi della Scala” in France, with which he appears in concert venues and festivals throughout Europe.



Born in Milan in 1974, Jacopo Doro studied Viola, Piano, Traditional Composition (with F. Delli Pizzi) and Experimental Composition (with B. Zanolini) at the Conservatoire of Milan.

Since a very early age he was able to attend symphonic and opera rehearsals at the Teatro alla Scala, with conductors like R. Muti, G. Sinopoli, C. Kleiber, W. Sawallisch.

He started his musical career playing with various chamber music groups and in the "G. Verdi" Milan Symphonic Orchestra. He is also a composer and a music teacher.

He attended a postgraduate course in Orchestra and Opera Conduction (under the supervision of D. Renzetti) at the Pescara Advanced Musical Studies Academy.

In 2000 he founded the "Milano Chamber Orchestra", with players from some of the most prestigious Milan orchestras.

His international debut took place in Tokio, where he conducted three concerts with the Lusca Festival Orchestra (4th Symphony and 5th Piano Concerto by L. van Beethoven with the pianist Yasuo Watanabe). A live CD was recorded at these concerts.

Recent engagements include:
*Italy: Orchestra Milano Classica, Gruppo Fiati Musica Aperta di Bergamo,Orchestra sinfonica di Pescara
*San Marino: Symphonic Orchestra and Choir of the Republic of San Marino
*Germany: Orchester des Nordharzer Staedtbundtheater
*USA: Symphony Arlington, The Garland Symphony Orchestra and Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra.

Aside from future engagements in symphonic concerts, in 2005 he will make his debut in operatic production of “La Traviata” in Romania.
